Found a magazine yesterday with an article featuring photos taken on an electron microscope of different butterfly eggs. The potential of these tiny things with intricate patterns and animals resting inside amazed me. In the afternoon I found some of my sisters old pastels and made do with what was left of the chunks to make these - my own butterfly eggs. Full of potential from the very first stroke. Each marriage of color is original and astounding.
